11月19日报道,恐怖组织伊斯兰国发布了一张照片,称那是上个月埃及西奈半岛上空炸毁一架俄罗斯飞机的炸弹,并说袭击那架飞机是因为莫斯科在叙利亚境内进行飞机轰炸。这张照片出现在其的英语网上杂志上,照片上显示了一个汽水的黄色易拉罐,恐怖组织说内装简易炸弹。俄罗斯和西方调查人员得出结论,是炸弹炸毁了科加雷姆航空公司的空客飞机,机上224人全部遇难。
  
伊斯兰国之前曾声称对空难袭击负责,但是没有提供证据。这份杂志称,圣战者们最初计划炸毁一架属于在伊拉克和叙利亚境内对伊斯兰国武装人员进行空袭的美国领导的盟军国家的飞机。但是在莫斯科9月份开始对叙利亚打击效忠阿萨德总统部队的反对派武装发动空袭以后,俄罗斯客机成为目标。图为坠机现场。
  
该杂志称,“在俄罗斯做出轻率决定近一个月后,一枚炸弹被偷运上飞机,导致了219名俄罗斯人和另外5人丧生。”伊斯兰国说,在埃及的沙姆沙伊赫机场找到了一个“破坏其安全的方式”来安放炸弹。俄罗斯一家报纸说,当局认为炸弹是在飞机主客舱的后部,靠近机尾的地方,而不是最初认为的行李舱里。图为坠机现场。
